While in Sydney this spring, I wandered the city over the weekend in the pouring rain and stumbled across this incredible monument that left me speechless. After reading every brick, I took out my camera and the pictures will tell the story. Wow.
Artist Annie Kennedy in collaboration with leading gay and lesbian activists has created a powerful monument exploring the broader struggle for gay rights mixed with personal 'coming out' stories.
Another reminder of how small our world really is, how far we have come, but the work must continue. We need to continue to work for equality, freedom and respect for all.
